We build games.

Web Level Up started as an agency and became a software company. The next thing we’re building is a game — made in Unreal Engine 5, developed in the open, and shipping to PC.

CropCorp

Farm it. Fortify it. The Taxman is coming.

A blocky, family-friendly action tower defense for one to four players. You farm and mine a living village by day — villagers with jobs, real production chains, an economy that has to be fed — and when the Taxman’s grey-suit collectors arrive for their cut, you hold the line.

It’s a co-op game about building something worth defending, and then defending it badly, loudly, with your friends.

How we got here

An agency that kept building its own things

We spent years building websites and custom software for other people. Doing that well means writing real software — so we started shipping our own.

DineKit came first: a free restaurant plugin now running on venues’ own websites, and a WordPress.org featured plugin. WLU Commerce came next — the licensing and commerce platform behind everything we sell.

Games were always the thing we actually wanted to make. CropCorp is that, and the same standards apply: built properly, documented honestly, no vertical slice that doesn’t exist.

  • AgencyWebsites and custom software for UK businesses
  • ProductsDineKit and WLU Commerce, built and shipped in-house
  • StudioCropCorp, in active development in Unreal Engine 5
Still the day job

The client work carries on

None of this replaced the agency. We still design and build fast, accessible websites for businesses in Cheltenham, Gloucester and across the UK — and everything we learn shipping our own products goes straight back into that work.
